DUE TO THE UNCERTAINTY OF HURRICANE JOAQUIN AND WEATHER CONDITIONS SURROUNDING ITS POSSIBLE PATH TOWARD NEW ENGLAND, OCTOBERFEST HAS BEEN CANCELED. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
Framingham Downtown Renaissance (FDR) has permanently teamed up with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) to host the 4th Annual Farm Pond Fall Festival on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 11AM to 3PM at Farm Pond Park on Dudley Road, Framingham. This popular festival, renamed OctoberFEST in honor of the new FDR | MWRTA partnership is a celebration of Downtown Framingham’s historic connection to Farm Pond, with a nod to the diversity that makes it special and unique. The event will feature music, food, games, boating, art, and other activities.
OctoberFEST will offer something for all ages! Families, friends and visitors are invited to borrow kayaks and canoes (or bring your own along), dance, participate in outdoor games and make crafts. Local vendors with beautiful artisan products, jewelry, pottery, food and fall sweets will be on hand. Live music will be performed by our soon-to-be famous incredibly talented local rockers Big Bad Wolf, and Brazilian percussion combo BLOCO Afro Brazil headed by energetic front man and our favorite Berklee grad, Marcus Santos. October FEST will kick into gear at 11AM with Tobler Reggae level vibes -- and bluegrass pickers (with a 90s metal twist) Little Jed and the Phat Daddies will wind up the day.
Other star attractions include 5th generation owned Hansons Farm, the fabulous Jenny the Juggler, downtown favorite Pueblito Paisa Colombia Restaurant and the ever-amazing Jo Jo the Magician! Voluntary donations of $5 per group or family go directly toward funding the event, and free fairground-style parking is provided on site.
The event, presented by FDR and MWRTA, is a collaborative project between Centre Music Shop, the Town of Framingham, Align Credit Union, and local businesses, nonprofits and art studios, to name a few.
Bring your lawn chair and friendly dogs on leashes! We welcome one and all to join the fun that this good harvest gathering brings to Downtown Framingham once a year. Click here for a map to the event and fairground style parking on site. See you there!
