Framingham Downtown Renaissance has teamed up with Cisco Cycles, LLC to host the 2016 Annual Farm Pond Fall & Vintage Bike Festival. This co-sponsored duel event will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 11AM to 3PM at Farm Pond Park on Dudley Road, Framingham. Join us to revel in Downtown Framingham’s historic connection to Farm Pond and Harmony Grove, and find out more about our local arts, culture, open space, vintage bikes and cycling -- all found and celebrated right here!
This fun-filled bicycle and community festival will offer something for everyone. Families, friends and visitors are invited to bring and ride their bikes (awards given for the vintage ones!), borrow kayaks and canoes, dance to great local music, participate in outdoor games, hike or bike trails, and eat great food -- and much, much more! Small biz vendors with artisan items, jewelry, pottery, food and fall sweets will be on hand. Music on our shoreside stage by local faves and many new surprises will make this year's annual celebration one to remember!

History about the Park
Farm Pond was at one time connected to Downtown Framingham, until the railroad industry built a freight yard and tracks deemed unsafe to cross. Farm Pond’s Harmony Grove was a historic site where founders of the Abolitionist Movement initiated the agitation that eventually led to the end of slavery in America. From 1854 to 1865, members of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society gathered here each year on July 4th to hold rallies and dedicate themselves to this vital crusade.
Farm Pond Fall Festival was first held in October 2012. The inaugural Fall Festival was Framingham Downtown Renaissance’s “coming out party” as a Main Streets® model program. The event provided a setting to rediscover the hidden history behind this outdoor gem, while encouraging people to begin thinking about what might draw them to Downtown Framingham – focusing on what’s there, what’s working and what could be.
