The main branch of the Framingham Library is located in the heart of Downtown Framingham, and is the local resource for notably prolific library services. Amenities include children's entertainment, historic and artistic lectures, musical programs and cultural events that are offered free to the public and appeal to folks of all ages. More than 11,000 children and 5,500 adults attend programs annually.

The former brick fire station houses a nonprofit venue that offers jazz, classical, folk, cabaret, world music, and rock performances. The second floor accommodates an art and photography gallery that features exhibits, indie film nights, theatre, spoken word, and children’s and youth programs. The Center showcases nationally known performers, and provides diverse, often star-studded opportunities for local artists as well.
