The Anna Murphy Park was named after Anna M. Murphy, a principal of Memorial School. She ran a program of “Victory Gardens” during World War I in support of the war effort. What was once used for those gardens, is now a playground. The WPA (Works Progress Association) built clay tennis courts on the playground and put in a wire mesh fence. All of the amenities include 2 tennis courts, an ADA accessible playground, a half basketball court, a little league baseball field, and a shade shelter. https://www.framinghamma.gov/2483/Anna-Murphy
